Conservation framing & storage solutions

Book and Paper Conservation Services offers conservation and museum quality custom framing for works treated at our studio. We recognize that improper framing and storage materials are often the cause of extreme damage to paper objects, and we strive to provide the best possible future conditions to minimize risk of further damage.

Conservation framing includes acid-free mat and mount materials, Japanese tissue hinges adhered with stable and reversible wheat starch paste, UV filtering glazing to minimize fading and discolouration, and frame rabbits sealed to prevent acid-migration from wood.

We also offer custom archival storage enclosures for works to be stored flat, such as acid-free folders, mylar encapsulations, and clamshell boxes.
